Why a Short Sale?

If you have fallen behind on your mortgage payments and your bank is unwilling to help you stay in your home, a short sale may be your best option.


A short sale is one way to avoid having a foreclosure on your credit record. Current lending guidelines suggest that a short sale is better for your credit record than a foreclosure – allowing you to possibly purchase a home in as little as 2 years after the short sale. Also, by negotiating a short sale with your bank, you may not have to worry about the bank coming after you for the unpaid balance.
